Blériot XI
Bleriot XI is a French monoplane aircraft built by Louis Bleriot in 1909. It was the first aircraft that was flown across the English Channel. A static model of the Bleriot XI was built by 6 teams-groups of families and friends at our ‘Build It Together’ workshop. It was great to see families and friends bond over a common interest-Aeromodelling.

13 Feet Monoplane
Bleriot XI is a French monoplane aircraft built by Louis Bleriot in 1909. It was the first aircraft that was flown across the English Channel. We demonstrated to these students how important team building is in building aircraft. The students assembled and disassembled as a team, a model of the Bleriot XI having a wingspan of 13 feet in our ‘Build a 13 Feet Monoplane’ workshop.

AERO BUILD
Wright Flyer
The Wright Flyer is the first heavier-than-air powered aircraft that successfully took flight. It was built in 1903 by the Wright Brothers. 72 students from government schools across Bengaluru joined Airytails at Pravega 2020 hosted by IISc and sponsored by Airbus to build static models of the Wright Flyer. We were glad to see our students engrossed in building their models and enjoying the workshop.

Lockheed F-117 Nighthawk
Lockheed F-117 Nighthawk is a stealth attack aircraft that was developed by Lockheed Corporations in 1983. It was the first operational aircraft that was designed using stealth technology. Our ‘Build It Together’ workshop brought together 7 teams consisting of families and friends who together built static models of the aircraft. Ironically, here we had a fighter jet that united friends and family around their common interests.

Hand Launch Glider
Hand Launch Gliders are excellent dynamic models to learn hands-on about building, testing, and flying airplanes. Where students successfully build model gliders capable of flight. Do you notice the great amount of focus these kids put in as they build their gliders?

Colour them, glue them together, and let the airplanes excite these little minds. Here we have lovely preschoolers who joined us and took an interest in airplanes through our ‘Junior Pilot’ workshops. What is more satisfying than the joy of these little ones in their world of colors?

Wright Flyer
The Wright Flyer is the first heavier-than-air powered aircraft that successfully took flight. It was built by the Wright Brothers in 1903. Static models of the wright flyer were built by 7 teams comprising of families and friends at our ‘Build It Together’ workshop. The enthusiasm of our senior participants proved yet again that age is just a number.

Paper Plane Workshop
Paper planes are the simplest aircraft models that can be used to understand the forces influencing flight. A diverse group of participants joined our custom ‘Fold N Fly’ workshop. The students were taught different ways of folding paper planes and its effects on the plane’s flight. We also screened the Paper Plane movie to inspire the children.

The students were taught different ways of folding paper planes and its effects on the plane’s flight. We also screened the Paper Plane movie to inspire the children.

AERO xplore
Hand Launch Gliders are excellent dynamic models to learn hands-on about building, testing, and flying airplanes. ‘Aero Xplore’ is a workshop usually hosted prior to the ‘Take the First Step’ workshop. Here we have students building, testing, and flying a smaller hand launch glider in preparation for building a bigger one in their next workshop with us.

Boeing 737 is a narrow-body commercial aircraft manufactured by Boeing and launched first in 1966. It holds a place in the Guinness Book of World Records for the most produced commercial jet in aviation history. Here we have 5 teams of families and friends who together built a static model of the Boeing 737 at our ‘Build It Together’ workshop. We were happy to offer a relatable experience to these participants by building the model of a commercial aircraft

Introducing students to folding these planes and learning the basics of Aerospace is a great way to discover interest and learning the fundamentals of Aerospace through our ‘Aero Inspire’ workshop.
